Stephen M. Hayes, DPM, CWS, FACFAS, FACCWS

Dr. Hayes is a diplomat with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is board certified in foot surgery. He is also a board certified wound specialist, with extensive experience in diabetic wound care and limb salvage. Dr. Hayes has a special interest in those with diabetes and is a part-time podiatrist at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center’s Wound Healing Center. He is on the surgical staff of Providence St. Vincent Medical Center and Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center in Portland. Dr. Hayes is also on the surgical staff at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center and PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver.

In his free time, Dr. Hayes enjoys spending time with his family, and is an avid apiculturist.


Stephen Wold

Dr. Wold

Dr. Stephen Wold was born and raised in Vancouver Washington. He received his Bachelor degree in biology from Washington State University. Graduated with honors. At the same time he served as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician. He is a graduate of Barry School of Podiatric Medicine where he also graduated with honors and was in the top four in his class. After graduation, he completed an intensive three-year residency in forefoot and rearfoot surgery at Kaiser Santa Clara where he served as Chief resident under nationally recognized and respected podiatric, orthopedic, and sports medicine surgeons. While there, he focused on all aspects of foot and ankle surgery with specific emphasis on advanced techniques in forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, trauma, limb salvage, and diabetic wound care. Upon completion of his residency, he and his wife relocated to the Santa Cruz area. 

Dr. Wold is a member of the American Podiatric Medical association as well as the California Podiatric Medicine Association. He provides care for all foot pathologies. Special interests include trauma and sport-related injuries. Other professional interests include Achilles tendonitis, ankle reconstructive surgery, bunion treatment, callus and wart treatment, deformity correction, diabetic wound care, flat foot correction, fungal infection treatment, hallux rigidus, hammer toe, heel pain, high arched feet, ingrown nails, fractures, neuromas, and orthotics. In his free time, Dr. Wold enjoys spending time with his wife, Mealeatey, working out, hiking, and trying new foods.

Dr. John Smith was born and raised in Minnesota. He received his degree from the University of Minnesota in 1990. He practiced in Minneapolis for ten years. Dr. Smith entered the Master'Degree program in at the University of Minnesota in 2000. Dr Smith enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and exploring the wilderness of the Boundary Waters. He is a talented musician and avid reader.
